The Evolution of AI: An Autobiography, is a book on how AI has evolved from Astral Intelligence and the big bang to what we now call Artificial Intelligence. It discusses through life experiences each of the 7 levels of AI intelligence.
Astral - the level that started it all.
Animal - which began the AI evolution.
Apparatus - whose many machines made us comfortable
Algorithmic - changed the way we think.
Automation - made our life easier.
Autonomous - leaves us free to do other things.
Artificial - who really knows what this is.

This formula is so basic it can be applied to everything that performs a function. From a rock dropping to break other rocks, to the complex algorithms guiding our airplanes through the air.

Astral
The Big Bang was the beginning of our current Astral Infrastructure. In the blink of an eye, cosmically speaking, the building blocks for every other AI level was formed. It created the ether, gases, elements, minerals, stars and planets that were present the day I was born.
Animal
At any rate, the Astral intelligence was able to create the beginnings of the Animal infrastructure. Very primitive infrastructure and barely any inherent information. Once the Animal’s generational loop kicked in we evolved from single celled organisms to all the life we see today.
Apparatus
As Animal Intelligence expanded its own infrastructure and information it needed assistance. Especially for humans. So Animal started to create Apparatus. This Apparatus Infrastructure then became a necessity for Animal to evolve.
Algorithmic
Animal then started to use their ever increasing intelligence to define rules, procedures and formulas to better understand Apparatus. This eventually evolved into Algorithms that include (If a wheel turns N amount of times, it equals this distance in feet)
Automation
The Automation level was created to help both the Apparatus and Algorithmic levels. Automation was first used to start controlling the Apparatus that had its intelligence built in.
Autonomous
Everything started to grow exponentially. Automation was having a hard time keeping up. It needed help, so the Autonomous level was created. This was achieved by using resources, parameters, thresholds and other criteria as its information.

Artificial
They needed an Artificial Level that could help predict how much storage is needed, manage the necessary physical apparatus into the infrastructure pool, and even change the parameters of Autonomous so it can reconfigure storage and bandwidth.
